New construction

New construction is one of the things Panther Electric specializes in. That means planning the service size and panel layout with the builder, running a clean rough-in that passes inspection the first time, then setting devices, fixtures and the service for final. The photos on this site show what that looks like: straight runs through the framing and a panel dressed and labeled.

  • Service sizing and panel layout
  • Rough-in wiring through framing
  • Device, fixture and appliance trim-out
  • Meter base and service equipment
  • Permits and inspections handled

Remodels & lighting design

Remodels are where the electrical plan and the design meet. Panther works with homeowners and contractors on kitchens, bathrooms and larger renovations: moving and adding circuits, bringing old wiring up to code where walls are open, and designing lighting that makes the room. Lit shower niches, backlit mirrors, vanity sconces and big chandeliers on vaulted ceilings are all in their portfolio.

  • Kitchen and bathroom remodel wiring
  • Lighting design and installation
  • Chandeliers and fixtures on high ceilings
  • Recessed, accent and under-cabinet lighting
  • Bringing open walls up to current code

Panels & service upgrades

A panel with no open spaces, breakers that run warm, an old fuse box, or a service too small for an EV charger and a heat pump: these are the jobs that start at the panel. Panther changes panels, replaces fuse boxes and upgrades services, and handles the utility coordination and inspection that comes with them. The breakers, panels and meters they supply carry their manufacturers’ warranties on top of Panther’s workmanship guarantee.

  • Panel changes and replacements
  • Fuse box to breaker panel
  • Service upgrades and meter bases
  • Utility coordination and inspection
  • Clear circuit labeling

EV chargers

Car chargers are one of Panther’s specialties. Every install starts with a look at the panel and the service: is there room for a dedicated 240-volt circuit, and can the service carry it alongside everything else? Then the charger goes where you actually park, mounted cleanly, with the circuit sized to the charger’s rating. One customer had a quote within 24 hours and the charger installed right after accepting it.

  • Level 2 (240 V) charger circuits
  • Panel and load evaluation first
  • Garage, driveway and exterior mounting
  • Hardwired or plug-in chargers
  • Load management options when the service is tight

Troubleshooting & repairs

Panther doesn’t guess. Swapping a breaker because it’s “probably” the problem wastes time and money when it isn’t. Instead they work through a stepped diagnostic: Level 1 testing of the affected circuit and devices, a deeper Level 2 investigation when needed, and for rare, intermittent problems a system-wide Level 3 evaluation. At every level they stop and explain what they found. No repairs and no added charges without your approval.

  • Dead outlets and circuits
  • Breakers that trip
  • Flickering or dimming lights
  • Correcting poor work by others
  • Stepped Level 1 / 2 / 3 diagnostics

Rewiring & knob-and-tube

Plenty of homes between Tacoma and Seattle were built before the 1950s, and some still carry knob-and-tube wiring: ungrounded, short on capacity, with brittle insulation and decades of add-on splices. Panther inspects, quotes and rewires, including whole homes. One Seattle family had their entire house rewired and wrote that the team was “kind, courteous, and respectful of both our home and the people in it.”

  • Knob-and-tube inspection and replacement
  • Whole-home and partial rewires
  • Grounded outlets in older homes
  • Help for insurance and home-sale requirements
  • Careful access to finished walls

Inspections, surge & generators

An electrical inspection from Panther is a full visual check of the system, outlet and device testing, spot checks behind covers, and a look at the panel, meter and lighting, with any hazards flagged and recommendations to plan around. They also install whole-home surge protection at the panel, which matters in a region where windstorms knock power out and restoration can bring spikes, and they install generators.

  • Whole-home electrical inspections
  • Buying, selling and insurance checks
  • Whole-home surge protection
  • Generator installation
  • Hazards flagged in plain language

Pricing

Fair, transparent, and in writing first.

Estimates are free, and there’s typically no trip fee when Panther comes out to estimate or do work. Remodels and new construction are priced on the specifics of the job: level of finish, access, complexity and scope. You get a detailed estimate before anything begins.

Troubleshooting

Diagnose first, then fix.

Level 1 tests the affected circuit and devices. Level 2 digs deeper into wiring, breakers and connections. Level 3 is a system-wide evaluation for rare, intermittent problems. At every level, Panther stops and explains, and nothing more happens without your approval.

The guarantee

Workmanship, guaranteed for life.

“We warranty our workmanship for life. That means that if your electrical installation fails due to a mistake that we made, we will return and fix it for free.”
